on Sunday Campbell Field Airport (9VG) Weirwood, VA December 31, 2006 The W66 Cluster is at it again. This trip was a first-time adventure down to Campbell Field in Weirwood, VA on the Eastern Shore of the state, almost to the Atlantic Ocean. Seven planes and thirteen pilots made the trip over 60-foot power lines and enjoyed a very warm and satisfying lunch of hot dogs and chili. If you haven't been yet, you definitely owe it to yourself to pay them a visit. We'll be back! |

RV-8 N908RV Follow along with the pictures and be thrilled by the epic tale of an RV-8 built by Rob Brooks of Centreville, VA. A fine example of the type, N908RV was not built by Rob alone. N908RV would never have been completed without the love, support, and help of the many fine folks at the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport in Midland, VA. Enjoy the photos of N908RV as it evolves from a wooden crate to a high-performance flying machine. |

Sinful Sunday Lee Bottom Field (64I) Hanover, IN August 13, 2006 Everyone likes ice cream, especially pilots. Lee Bottom Field has a nice treat three times a year, and everyone is welcome. We stopped by for some tasty treats and aerial entertainment. The airplanes were amazing, and the milkshakes were delicious. |

Acrosport 1 N2055K This aircraft was owned as a partnership between a few good friends at the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport in Midland, VA. It was recently sold. If you're the guy who bought it, congratulations. If not, then you're probably sad that you didn't pony up the bread before he did. I know I am. Yep, it's one sweet plane. |

Chapter 863 Fall Classic Fly-In Lebanon, TN (M54) September 19, 2003 During my first year at MTSU, I stopped in at the Lebanon Airport to check out EAA Chapter 863's Fall Classic Fly-In. While there, I took a ride in a beautiful Swift, and photographed some truly exceptional airplanes. |

Golden Age Air Museum 2002 Fall Fly-In Grimes Airfield (8N1) Bethel, PA Rob Brooks and I flew up to Grimes Airfield to take in the sights and sounds of a by-gone era in his Steen Skybolt N66FW from Warrenton-Fauquier Airport in Midland, VA (W66). By the time we got home, we were tired and sunburned. This is the trip that inspired Rob to re-cushion the aft 'pit with TemperFoam! |

Skybolt N66FW Another Rob Brooks flying machine, N66FW was purchased used, got a little abused, and required a rebuild. Originally constructed way back in 1979, N66FW came back from the boiler room a beautiful two-winged marvel of aeronautical perfection. Sadly, N66FW was sold to help finance the construction of N908RV. I spent a lot of time helping with the rebuild and keeping Rob company in the front 'pit of this ship, and miss her truly. |

Fisher Flying Products FP-404 The first plane I ever bought. What a deal. I had this idea that I would retrofit a Rotax to it, grease the hinges, and go fly, but sometimes plans change. I ended up selling it for parts, but it's currently being flown somewhere, by someone who loves a simple machine. |
